Overview

Energy meters are essential for both the Industrial and Green revolutions. The 3-phase or polyphase meters are commonly used in heavy industrial applications and high electricity-consuming households.

While mechanical meters have maintained market dominance due to their ruggedness, the growing demand for automatic meter reading (AMR) capabilities and the need for greater resistance to tampering have driven the development of smart meters. These electronic meters offer advanced and simplified mechanisms for remote data acquisition and processing.
