概要
The ISL9241EVAL1Z evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the performance of the ISL9241. From the PROG pin to GND, the resistor can be used to program the default value numbers of the battery in series, the switching frequency, and the adapter current limit charging function. The default value numbers can also be set by SMBus.
The ISL9241EVAL1Z showcases the ISL9241's configurable buck-boost Narrow Output Voltage DC (NVDC) and Hybrid Power Buck-Boost (HPBB) charging capabilities, including support for up to 4-cell battery charging from a wide 4V to 20V input range. It features Renesas R3™ Technology for high light-load efficiency, fast transient response, and seamless DCM/CCM transitions. The board also demonstrates On-the-Go (OTG) functionality for 2- and 4-cell battery applications and SMBus/I²C programmability for configuring key charging and system parameters, such as current limits, system voltage settings, and more.

Through firmware control, the ISL9241 can switch between NVDC and HPBB modes, providing a low-cost and small solution size capable of efficiently processing a full range of power levels.
