Description

The TW9992 is a low power NTSC/PAL analog video decoder that is designed for automotive applications. It supports single-ended, differential and pseudo differential composite video inputs. Integrated short-to-battery and short-to-ground detection, advanced image enhancement capabilities such as the programmable Automatic Contrast Adjustment (ACA) and the MIPI-CSI2 output interface make the TW9992 an ideal solution for demanding automotive camera applications.

  1. Does the TW9992 support traditional BT.656 output?

    Question: Does this product support traditional BT.656 output?   Answer: No, the output interface for the TW9992 is MIPI-CSI2 (single lane).  We offer a similar product called TW9990 which does have a BT.656 output interface.

  2. Does the TW9992 support differential CVBS inputs as well as single-ended?

    Question: Does this device support differential CVBS inputs as well as single-ended?   Answer: Yes, TW9992 supports differential CVBS inputs as well as pseudo differential CVBS (when the negative wire is actually used as a ground) and traditional single-ended CVBS inputs.

    Question:  Do I need an evaluation board?   Answer: Yes, it is recommended that you evaluate, test and debug using our eval board to help optimize your real system design. The evaluation kit is a very useful tool that allows you to test the many different functions that the TW9992 offers.
