Description
Operating from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply and fully specified over the -40 °C to 85 °C temperature range, the SLG59M1710V is a high-performance 4 mΩ, 2 A single-channel nFET load switch with adjustable inrush current control which is achieved by adjusting the VOUT slew rate with an external capacitor. Using a proprietary MOSFET design, the SLG59M1710V achieves a stable 4 mΩ RDSON across a wide input/supply voltage range. Incorporating two-stage current protection as well as thermal protection, the SLG59M1710V is designed for all 0.8 V to 5.5 V power rail applications. Using Renesas' proprietary CuFET™ technology for high-current operation, the SLG59M1710V is packaged in a space-efficient, low thermal resistance, RoHS-compliant 1.6 mm x 2.5 mm STQFN package.

- GuideGreenFET load switches are designed for efficient high‑side power control in low‑voltage applications. These devices combine low RDS(on), compact packaging, and integrated protection features to replace discrete designs, reducing PCB space and improving system reliability. This guide enables engineers to quickly compare key parameters and select the optimal device for their application.
- Application NotePDF 364 KB Jan 16, 2019AI-generated Summary: Unidirectional GreenFET load switches can be configured in pairs to create bidirectional load switches (BLS) that conduct current in both directions while maintaining protection features such as current limiting, short circuit, thermal shutdown, and inrush current control. Two types of BLS implementations are detailed: a low-power solution using SLG59M1558V devices and a high-performance solution using SLG59M1709V devices. The document explains circuit configurations, operation waveforms, and protection mechanisms, enabling cost-effective, compact, and reliable bidirectional switching for portable device power management.
- Application NotePDF 334 KB Aug 17, 2017AI-generated Summary: Energy harvesting captures ambient energy from sources like light, motion, or temperature differences to power low-power devices without batteries. A supercapacitor stores this energy, while a GreenPAK programmable ASIC controls an inductor-based boost converter to supply a stable 5V output. The design integrates features such as overvoltage protection, duty cycle bounding, low-voltage detection, and optional secondary battery support. It uses a 2MHz PWM signal at 40kHz switching frequency, with mechanisms to prevent continuous conduction and ensure efficient energy transfer. The design targets applications like electronic door locks and data loggers, optimizing supercap sizing and converter operation in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) for low current loads.
