Description
The R8C/38T-A Group of single-chip MCUs incorporates the R8C CPU core, which provides sophisticated instructions for a high level of efficiency.
The R8C/38T-A Group of single-chip microcontrollers (MCUs) incorporates the R8C CPU core, which provides sophisticated instructions for a high level of efficiency. With 1Mb of address space, the CPU core is capable of executing instructions at high speed. In addition, it features a multiplier for high-speed arithmetic processing.
Power consumption is low, and additional power control is possible by selecting the operating mode. The R8C/38TA Group is also designed to maximize EMI/EMS performance. Integration of many peripheral functions, including multifunction timer and serial interface on the same chip, reduces the number of system components. The R8C/38T-A Group integrates a touch sensor control unit, which enables detection of the floating capacitance of the electrostatic capacitive touch electrode. This group also has on-chip data flash (1KB × 4 blocks) with background operation (BGO) function.

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains how to register and uninstall Call Walker within the High-performance Embedded Workshop (HEW). It guides users to launch HEW without opening a workspace, access the Tools Administration menu, and register the Call Walker tool by specifying the registration file path. After registration, Call Walker version 2.3 appears in the menu. Upon uninstalling HEW, users must manually delete the remaining Call Walker directory. It also provides Renesas Electronics website and contact information for support. The revision history notes the first edition release date.

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: Random measurement in the R8C/38T-A Group adjusts the timing of the main measurement using values stored in the Random value storage registers (SCRVRO - SCRVR7). There are 16 measurement timings determined by these registers, which are referenced sequentially during measurement. The SCU Mode register controls enabling random measurement and setting constant or variable measurement periods. Setting the CONST bit fixes the measurement period, while clearing it allows variable timing based on the measurement waveform.
