- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains how to register and uninstall Call Walker within the High-performance Embedded Workshop (HEW). It guides users to launch HEW without opening a workspace, access the Tools Administration menu, and register the Call Walker tool by specifying the registration file path. After registration, Call Walker version 2.3 appears in the menu. Upon uninstalling HEW, users must manually delete the remaining Call Walker directory. It also provides Renesas Electronics website and contact information for support. The revision history notes the first edition release date.
- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains how to search for unused areas in the flash memory of M32C/84, 85, 87, 88 groups and program data records. It divides data flash into 32 records, each 64 words long. At reset, it searches for empty records (all FFFFh) to write data. If no empty record exists, the data flash block is erased before programming. The INTO pin triggers data programming. CPU rewrite mode (EW1) is used for flash rewriting. Sample code runs on M30879FLGP MCU with specified clock and voltage conditions.Related Files:

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains the operation of three-phase motor control timers in sawtooth wave modulation mode for M32C/84, 85, 87, 88, 8A, and 8B groups. It details how the IDBO and IDB1 registers determine individual phase output signal levels, with signals output at specific timer edges. Dead time between switching signals is configurable via the DTT register and controlled by the INV14 bit in the INVC1 register. Examples of default PWM register values and signal timing diagrams illustrate the modulation and output process.Related Files:

(M16C,M32C) Are there any hardware precautions for accurate A/D conversion?
In order to perform A/D conversion, it is necessary to fully charge the internal capacitor, but if the impedance of the A/D conversion target is high, the discharge and charge will take time and the conversion value will not be accurate. For correct A/D ...

What happens if MCU starts operating before oscillation stabilized?
There would be no problem with the CPU after a reset as it operates with the main clock divided-by-8. However, if the clock division ratio is switched to "no division of the main clock", or serial interface or a timer is operated before oscillation is stabilized, the MCU ...
