Description

The ISL99227 and ISL99227B are Smart Power Stage (SPS) compatible with ISL68xxx/69xxx Digital Multiphase (DMP) controllers and phase doubler (ISL6617A), respectively. The ISL99227 and ISL99227B have integrated high accuracy current and temperature monitors that can be fed back to the controller and doubler to complete a multiphase DC/DC system. They simplify design and increase performance by eliminating the DCR sensing network and associated thermal compensation. Light-load efficiency is supported via a dedicated LFET control pin. An industry leading thermally enhanced 5x5 PQFN package allows minimal overall PCB real estate. The ISL99227 and ISL99227B feature a 3.3V compatible, 5.0V compatible tri-state PWM input that, working together with Renesas multiphase PWM controllers, provide a robust solution in the event of abnormal operating conditions. The ISL99227 and ISL99227B also improve system performance and reliability with integrated fault protection of UVLO, over-temperature, and overcurrent. An open-drain fault reporting pin simplifies the handshake between SPS and Renesas controllers and can be used to disable the controller during start-up and fault conditions.

  2. Output assignments to Rail0 and Rail1 of the ISL681xx Multiphase controller

Hello. I'm in the stage of designing a VRM module based on ISL681x7 multiphase controller and ISL99227 SPS. Two outputs, 6+1 Phases scheme. Output with 6 phases (0.85V) must be turned on first, while output with 1 phase (0.9V) must be turned on second in sequence ...

  3. ISL68127 have no PWM output

    Hi, I'm using ISL68127 with ISL99227 power stage.I connect my board with ISLUSBEVAL1Z and checked VCC/PVCC/VIN/LGCTRL in ISL99227 is correct. When I enable rail 0 I got no PWM output from the ISL68127. I tested IMON-REFIN = 0V and FAILT# is ...
