Description
The FS1025-DL comprise a MEMS flow sensor mounted on a circuit board with an amplification circuit and a flow housing.
The FS1025-DL is targeted for liquid applications. The sensor utilizes thermopile sensing, which provides an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and is ideal for applications requiring low power. It is highly sensitive at low flow rates with a very fast response time. The FS1025-DL outputs a non-linear curve with flow. It features an Analog, 0 to 4.5V, and Digital I2C output.
FS1025-DL complies with NSF/ANSI 61: Drinking Water Systems Components - Health Effects. It can be safely used in water and beverage applications.
Applications
- Water dispensers
- Liquid metering or switch
- Process controls and monitoring

- Application NotePDF 135 KB R36AN0015EU0100 Rev.1.00 Jun 26, 2023AI-generated Summary: Thermal flow sensors measure fluid flow rates by detecting heat transfer changes caused by fluid movement across a micro-heater and temperature sensors. Accuracy depends on factors such as fluid composition, ambient temperature, pressure, humidity, and flow profile. Variations in fluid thermal properties or environmental conditions can alter sensor readings. Calibration is specific to certain fluids, with conversion factors available for others. Proper sensor placement and flow conditioning improve measurement reliability despite turbulent or laminar flow variations.

Waterproofing a FS1025-DL water flow sensor.
Hello All, I am in need of a sensor to measure water flow but it may be partially submerged. I think the FS1025-DL would be perfect for the application except for the lack of waterproofing. I would like to know the feasibility of opening the case and using protecting ...

Re addressing I2C on Flow Sensor FS1025-DL
... flow sensors per microcontroller. Is the I2C address writable? If not I'll need to add an I2C multiplex. The docs mention a default address. 4.1 Sensor Slave Address The FS1025-DL default I2C address is 50HEX. The device will respond only to this 7-bit address. Thanks, Andy
