Centralized vacuum cleaners need strong suction power with AC motor power ratings for these types of solutions in the range of 1000W to 1700W for household systems. When using brushless DC (BLDC) motors, the suction power can be kept identical while reducing the required primary energy. And, the rpm setting can be easily obtained which adds an additional benefit to the system. This combination transmits the required motor settings from the remote vacuum hose via the low voltage power line using the Cool Phoenix 4 (CPX4) Power Line Communication (PLC) modem IC device.
