The RH850/F1KH-D8 is one group of single-chip microcontrollers in the RH850/F1x series, which is designed for automotive electrical body applications. While it achieves low power consumption, the internal flash memory ranges from 6MB to 8MB and the package covers a wide range from 176 to 324 pins. Also, CAN FD and Ethernet interfaces, along with a hardware security module have been added to all products, and the CPU operating frequency has been improved to 240MHz and is equipped with a dual CPU. Hardware Tools
In the Hardware Tools section, we provide links to the MCU starter kits. The starter kit is a fully self-contained hardware and software tool for evaluating microcontroller features and performance and can be used to start development. It includes the Renesas E1 on-chip debugger, access to all I/O pins and serial interfaces such as RS-232, LIN, and CAN FD. The starter kit is the fastest way to get the hardware and software needed to begin development right away. We provide links to the user's manual and software as well as a link to purchase.

Programming Tools
We also offer a newer and faster emulator for separate purchase. While there is a debugger included in the starter kit, we offer the option here to purchase the newer and faster E2 emulator/debugger for programming and debugging RH850 F1Kx devices.
In addition to a hardware emulator/debugger, we also offer the Renesas Flash Programmer for free download. The Flash programmer contains a simple-to-use graphical user interface which is ideal for first-time developers.

In the Software Tools section, we have many resources to assist with your MCU project.
For your compiler toolchain needs, we recommend Green Hills and IAR Systems. We provide links to these partner sites which allow you to start your design without delay.
In addition, we offer libraries for programming both the code flash and data flash memories of the RH850 F1Kx microcontroller. These libraries provide an interface to the code and data flash for memory operations such as erasing, programming, blank checking, and more.
And for designs that require AUTOSAR compliance, we offer AUTOSAR 4.2.2 MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) software. It's absolutely free of charge and offered as-is. This package contains SPAL, COM and TEST driver software.
We also offer driver generation software called Smart Configurator. It's available for free download, and it provides support in generating device drivers for peripherals such as timers, UART, A/D, and more. The software and user manuals for Smart Configurator are provided for your convenience.
