Overview

Description

As factories embrace Industry 4.0 technologies like industrial IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data, there is a growing demand for more efficient, scalable, and reliable industrial automation systems. This evolution necessitates streamlined communication between sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to simplify system complexity and enhance performance efficiency.

The IO-Link is a serial communication protocol that connects sensors and actuators to remote I/O or PLCs in factory automation. This platform offers an easy-to-use gateway development kit for the IO-Link protocol, supporting up to eight IO-Link sensors or actuators and enabling industrial Ethernet communication controlled by an Arm® Cortex®-R52 MPU.
