The RE01 1500KB product is based on the SOTB™ process technology which realizes ultra-low current consumption in both active and standby mode and high speed operation (64MHz) at low voltage (1.62V), which is impossible to achieve with conventional bulk silicon processes. The RE01 1500KB product can significantly extend battery life and deliver high performance even for small batteries and energy harvesters power supplies that can supply only a small amount of current. The 1.5MB of on chip flash memory can be used for applications that require the storage of large amounts of data, such as image information, and applications that require remote firmware updates (Over The Air (OTA)) via a wireless or other communications network. This is ideal for applications such as hybrid watch (app processor), smart home/building, healthcare, meters, and trackers.
The RE01 1500KB product has an energy harvesting control circuit, ultra low power consumption 14-bit ADC (4uA operation), low power flash programming (rewriting at about 0.6mA), peripherals for Human Machine Interface (HMI) such as a MIP-LCD parallel IF and a 2D graphic engine, as well as support for the driving of clock hand movement for analog watches, and security function (Trusted Secure IP). Trusted Secure IP is capable of performing symmetric-key algorithm (AES) and random number generation at high speed using dedicated on-chip hardware, and can be used to realize the secure updating of flash memory and prevention of unauthorized firmware startup (secure boot). In addition, user key data can be safely managed by Trusted Secure IP, which contributes to protecting IoT-embedded devices from virus intrusion and wiretapping.

|IBIS/BSDL||IBIS standard simulation data is required for high-speed board design and can be used to run simulations to examine and troubleshoot issues such as waveform reflection, ringing, and so on, before producing the actual board. BSDL is a data input format supported by most IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG)-compliant tools. The automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) and automatic test equipment functions of these tools facilitate testing.|
