Description
Sometimes flooding occurs due to broken water pipes, but often we don't realize it until it is too late. Together with Renesas' Smart Water Leakage Sensor, this shutdown valve solution can automatically take countermeasures without human interaction in such cases. Then, this solution can reduce or completely avoid damage caused by water spilling due to broken pipes via shutdown of the water supply.
System Benefits:
- Shut off spilling water using Wi-Fi
- Indication of inappropriately high moisture level/water spilling comes from our Smart Water Leakage Sensor or by manual command, e.g., via MQTT
- Battery backup keeps the system alive when mains power fails
- Solar energy harvesting allows for sensor use without mains power
- Ultra-low power DC/DC + Wi-Fi allows for long operation/standby time
- BT5 to ease commissioning via smartphone
