Description

System-on-Modules (SoMs) are compact, ready-to-use processor modules that help developers and engineers accelerate time to market for embedded products and reduce overall project schedules. The Smart Mobility Architecture (SMARC) addresses the demand for standardization and flexibility in embedded computing, facilitating the integration of advanced features like high-speed interfaces, graphics, and connectivity in industrial and IoT applications.

Renesas' RZ SoMs, compliant with SMARC 2.1, support high-speed interfaces such as USB 3.0, PCI Express®, and Gigabit Ethernet, along with LCD and audio capabilities. They enable advanced multimedia processing, AI integration, and robust security, enhancing HMI, video, and graphics performance for industrial and building automation applications. This simplifies development and offers scalability.
