Description

µPD720202 is a USB host controller LSI compatible with the USB 3.0 and xHCI (eXtensible Host Controller Interface) 1.0 specifications. The system bus is compatible with the PCIe Gen2 specification. The controller provides two USB ports with LS (Low-Speed) / FS (Full-Speed) / HS (High-Speed) / SS (SuperSpeed) support.

µPD720202 comes in a 48-pin QFN package and has the following improvements over previous products.

  • Reduced power consumption in low-power mode to 4.5mW, a reduction of 90% compared with Renesas Electronics' existing products
  • Improvements to the data transfer processing circuit provide an increase in the effective data write speed of more than 40% from existing products
  • Firmware download function eliminates the need for external serial flash ROM

  1. upd720202 Firmware Update Tool 2.0.2.6 or newer

I came across this discussion thread:  https://community.renesas.com/analog-products/f/interface-connectivity/51974/about-upd720202-update-fw-tool  In the pic, it shows K2026090.mem file dated in year 2017. I have a K2026.mem file dated 2013. This leads ...

  2. uPD720202 firmware upgrade tool

I downloaded and checked all uPD720202 relating firmware and design packages but I was not able to see any firmware update tool in them. Where can I find the tool from?

  3. upd720202 - not correctly initializing at boot but firmware update working and manual driver binding working as well

I have designed with the UPD720202 in the past and got it to work correctly in ARM linux. Newer design here using RPI CM4 / CM5 and latest RPI OS and K2026090.mem After firmware upload (which works fine), if I enable the driver manually using modprobe, everything works fine ...

  1. What is the maximum output voltage (Vom) of an operational amplifier?

This expresses the limit value at which the output of the operational amplifier is saturated when the prescribed power supply voltage is applied. There are two values: one for the positive power supply side and one for the negative power supply side. In addition, either a load resistance value (2 ...

  2. How should unused amplifier inputs be connected?

When using this connection method, in which the output is not returned to the input, the gain is extremely large. In this state, even small changes such as in input offset (VIO) can cause the output to swing sharply to the H level or L level. This VIO changes depending ...

  3. What is the role of operational amplifiers?

Elements in our environment such as wind, light, sound, temperature, and humidity change quantitatively on a continual basis. In other words, they are analog values. On the other hand, the processing executed in most devices we use these days is digital. Some form of analog signal processing is therefore required ...
