30W Wireless Power Transmitter Evaluation Kit Supporting WPC 1.3 and Fast Charging Modes

The P9247-RB-EVK is a turnkey WPC 1.3-compliant wireless power transmitter evaluation kit that demonstrates all popular wireless charging protocols including the WPC Baseline Power Profile (BPP), Extended Power Profile (EPP), up to 7.5W charging for iPhones, and PPDE fast charging modes. The P9247-RB-EVK evaluation kit demonstrates up to 30W wireless power transfer in proprietary mode when paired the P9412-EVK wireless power receiver evaluation kit. The P9247-RB-EVK supports up to 15W in EPP mode when paired with a Qi-compatible wireless power receiver.

The P9247-RB-EVK features P9247-RB, a highly integrated, magnetic induction, wireless power transmitter, with an integrated industry-leading 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0 processor. The P9247-RB has only pre-programmed bootloader in the internal memory, an external flash memory included on P9247-RB-EVK contains the application firmware, offering flexible and easy feature expansion and application firmware update in the external flash to meet application specific requirements.

The P9247-RB-EVK features WPC MP-A9 coil with an optional buck-boost regulator for Full-Bridge voltage control. The kit demonstrates advanced foreign object detection (QFOD) and programmable FOD thresholds via the microcontroller. The P9247-RB-EVK also features a wide range of system protections, such as over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage lockout, and thermal management circuits to safeguard wireless power systems under fault conditions.

The kit consists of an easy-to-use evaluation board and comprehensive support collateral that significantly eases design-in effort and minimizes time-to-market. An associated layout module enables direct instantiation onto a system board, while an optimized and fully-tested Bill-of-Materials (BOM) takes the guess-work out of component selection.
