Description

The ZSC31015 is an RBicdLite™ CMOS integrated circuit for highly accurate amplification and sensor-specific correction of bridge sensor signals. Digital compensation of sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature drift, and non-linearity is performed by an internal digital signal processor running a correction algorithm with calibration coefficients stored in nonvolatile EEPROM. The ZSC31015 is compatible with nearly all piezoresistive bridge sensors.

Measured and compensated bridge values are provided through the SIG™ pin, which can be configured as either an analog voltage output or a one-wire digital serial output. The digital one-wire interface enables a simple PC-controlled calibration procedure for programming calibration coefficients into the on-chip EEPROM.

Digital mating of the ZSC31015 and a specific sensor is fast and precise, eliminating the cost and complexity associated with external trimming devices or laser trimming. Integrated diagnostic functions make the ZSC31015 particularly well-suited for automotive applications.
