Description
The SH7268, SH7269 Group are high-performance microcontrollers incorporating SH2A-FPU cores. The SH7268, SH7269 Group share the following features: (1) large-capacity 2.5 megabyte (MB) on-chip SRAM that is 1.7 times the capacity of the Renesas Electronics' existing MCU (SH7266) allowing display of WVGA size (800 x 480 pixel) images without any external SRAM. (2) Increased maximum CPU operating frequency by approximately 1.8 times (266 MHz), which provides increased performance for device control and digital audio signal processing. (3) Additional functionalities, such as a 2D graphics accelerator that conforms to the OpenVG™ 1.1 standard, the industry standard graphics processing programming interface (API) for embedded equipment. These features offer superb cost-performance to compact, high-performance systems. * OpenVG is a trademark of the Khronos Group.

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document details the SH7268/SH7269 RGA graphics drawing functions, including peripheral functions like OpenVG-compliant graphics processor, JPEG codec, and video display controller. It explains the coordinate system with origin at the upper left, maximum drawable frame buffer size of 1280x1024 pixels, and available pixel formats for drawing destinations and input images. The document also covers API usage in C and C++ languages and image format conversions.Related Files:

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document details the SH7268/7269 Group JPEG Codec Unit sample driver, including its development environment and evaluation boards. It supports JPEG baseline standard encoding and decoding with specific pixel formats and image sizes. The driver handles compression and decompression with defined quantization and Huffman tables, supporting various markers. It excludes some JPEG features like two-element scanning and certain pixel formats. The driver operates at a maximum data rate of 133.34 Mbytes/s and supports block interleave methods with buffer size optimization.Related Files:
- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains key compiler option differences when migrating source code from the SuperH family to the RX family. It highlights that char types default to signed in SuperH but unsigned in RX, requiring the 'signed_char' option to maintain behavior. It also covers the 'auto_enum' option for automatic enum size selection and the 'dbl_size' option to specify double type size, which defaults to 4 bytes in RX compared to 8 bytes in H8 compilers. Configuration steps in the CS+ IDE are provided for each option.

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains how to register and uninstall Call Walker within the High-performance Embedded Workshop (HEW). It guides users to launch HEW without opening a workspace, access the Tools Administration menu, and register the Call Walker tool by specifying the registration file path. After registration, Call Walker version 2.3 appears in the menu. Upon uninstalling HEW, users must manually delete the remaining Call Walker directory. It also provides Renesas Electronics website and contact information for support. The revision history notes the first edition release date.View More (65)
