- Application NotePDF 1.45 MB R19AN0167EU0100 Rev.1.00 Nov 10, 2022AI-generated Summary: RYZ024 modules operate in four power states—Deep Sleep, Sleep, Active Standby, and Modem Active—each with distinct wake-up latencies. Power-saving protocols eDRX and PSM optimize battery life by controlling UE paging and sleep cycles. eDRX allows the device to monitor paging only during specific intervals, enabling deep sleep between cycles, while PSM extends sleep duration by managing timers for idle and tracking area updates. Power measurement setups require specific hardware, including a power analyzer with microamp accuracy, and detailed modem configuration steps ensure accurate power consumption evaluation under various network conditions.
- Application NotePDF 3.68 MB R19AN0071EU0150 Rev.1.50 Oct 13, 2022AI-generated Summary: Establishing a PPP connection over UART enables LTE modules to transmit IP packets between the module and a host system. The module acts as a PPP server, while the host runs a PPP client, typically supported natively on Linux/Unix and Windows. The connection requires proper UART baudrate settings, with examples using 921600 bps. Commands and scripts configure and manage the PPP session, including connection setup, suspension, and termination. The document details procedures for Linux and Windows hosts, covering configuration, connection, and troubleshooting. It also explains how the PPP connection persists through low power states without needing reestablishment.
