Description
The iW337 is a secondary-side PWM signal generator that works with three types of dimming inputs: PWM dimming, 0V to 10V linear dimming, or simple dimming using a single resistor to ground from the DIM pin. The iW337 converts any of these three signals into a 1% to 100% PWM duty cycle that provides a dimming signal to a primary-side LED driver such as the iW3631, eliminating the need for transformers or other driver circuitry.

- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document explains how to implement 0-10V analog dimming using the iW337 PWM signal generator combined with the iW3631 LED driver for solid-state lighting. It details selecting the CF capacitor to set the PWM frequency, calculating the optocoupler driver resistor to ensure proper current, and designing a level shifting circuit to convert the optocoupler output to a 0.3V to 1.5V dimming voltage range. The VCC capacitor selection for stable operation is also covered. The design ensures isolated, programmable dimming control with precise voltage and current parameters.
