Overview

Description

The QCIOT030-ISL76683EVZ board enables rapid prototyping for the ISL76683 light-to-digital sensor for custom system designs. The ISL76683 is an integrated light sensor with an internal ADC that provides four user-programmable lux sensitivity ranges, optimizing performance across a wide range of lighting conditions. Its I2C interface supports multifunction control and remote monitoring, while a software power-down mode reduces power consumption to less than 1μA.

The board features Pmod™ connectors on both sides, allowing additional Type 6/6A boards to be daisy-chained so that multiple sensors can share the same MCU Pmod connector. With its standard connector and software support, the QCIOT030-ISL76683EVZ is an excellent choice for rapidly developing IoT systems with the Renesas QuickConnect platform.

Features

  • Four programmable lux ranges, selectable via I2C (1000 lux to 64000 lux)
  • IR and UV rejection
  • AEC-Q100 qualified
  • Adjustable sensitivity of up to 65 counts per lux
  • User-programmable upper- and lower-threshold interrupts
  • Standardized Type 6A Pmod connector supporting the extended I2C interface
  • Dual connectors enable pass-through signals for daisy-chained solutions

  1. ISL76683 Ir rejection

Hello,  I am working with the ISL76683 sensor to calculate the ambient lux. I am having trouble getting correct values when I do the IR rejection. The chip configuration is as follows: Control register: 0x10001001 (Enable ADC, Normal operation, integration is internally timed, mode difference d1- d2 and width is ...
