Power Line Communication (PLC) Node

Overview

The G3-PLC Alliance has called for OFDM-based power line communication (PLC) standards, such as PRIME, to become the mainstream communication method for meter AMR systems. PLC applications include smart building control, voice transmission, and other IoT-based systems.

This PLC Node system combines an MCU, the CPX3 SoC PLC modem, and a line driver to deliver reliable and efficient data transmission. With high-efficiency power buck converters, the system supports PLC communication with over 1000 peers and management capabilities. The CPX3 PLC modem transmits and receives data, forwarding it to the line driver for amplification and coupling to the AC line. The entire process fully complies with G3-PLC Alliance standards.
