Motion Sensor Module

Overview

The growing demand for motion sensors is driven by various needs across industries such as home automation, security, and artificial intelligence (AI). The ability to sense motion and enable systems to respond accordingly, such as using motion sensing for occupancy detection in a room to control lighting, offers many benefits, including reduced energy consumption.

This analog motion sensor can detect motion from two meters away using a passive infrared (PIR) sensor. It can be powered from a connected MCU board or externally with the support of an external regulator. This system supports the QuickConnect IoT (QCIOT) ecosystem and can be daisy-chained with other QCIOT boards.

System Benefits:

  • Ultra-low power supply current of 6µA promotes longer operation time and higher energy efficiency.
  • Wide range of operating voltage from 5V to 16V suits a variety of applications.
  • Always-on autonomous operation ensures quick response times to the system's needs.
