Overview

Description

The RX621 microcontrollers have 100MHz high-speed operation and enhanced communications functions. They have built-in CAN and two circuits of USB 2.0 host controller. A multi-function timer (MTU2, 2 units), 10-bit or 12-bit A/D converter, DMA controller, and other peripheral functions are incorporated on a single chip. Up to 512KB of Flash memory and 96KB of RAM are built in, as well as 32KB of Flash memory for data storage. Packages are available from 85 pins to 176 pins.

  1. RX621 - DataFlash is always erased when programming UserFlash

DataFlash is always erased when I program UserFlash, independent if ID-code in address 0xFFFFFFA0 is set or not. I use Renesas Flash Programmer (RFP) software to program UserFlash, using USB-direct connection. Equal ID-code is set in RFP configuration, as in address 0xFFFFFFA0, starting with 0x45, as described ...

FAQs

  1. (RX62N, RX621) What is the maximum transfer volume (byte count) of the DMAC?

RX62N: Regardless of DMAC transfer mode, the DMA transfer count register (DMCRA) specifies how many words per byte (words/byte) (number of bits depends on SZ) are transferred during one DMA transfer request. With normal transfer mode the DMCRA register can be set to FFFFh and the maximum transfer ...

  2. (RX62N, RX621, RX610) I can't enter all-module stop mode.

To enter all-module stop more, execute a WAIT instruction after setting the related registers or bits as follows. - MSTPCRA.ACSE bit = 1 (all-module clock stop mode is enabled) - SBYCR.SSBY bit = 0 (shifts to sleep mode or all-module clock stop mode after the WAIT instruction is executed ...

  3. (RX62N, RX621) Is the endian of the external bus also set using the mode pin (MDE)?

The external address space of the external bus is divided into eight areas (CS0 to CS7) and SRAM areas, and the endian mode is set for each using the endian mode bit (EMODE) in the CSi control register (CSiCNT). Note that string manipulation instructions will not work for areas that ...
