  1. What instructions in H8S result in a performance increase over 300H?

"LDM, STM. Load multiple and store multiple. These 2 instructions allow the 300H to push and pop multiple registers onto and off the stack with one instruction. The H8S has to perform individual push and pop instructions for each register."

  2. How much voltage supply needed to start H8S/21xx F-ZTAT memory devices

The H8S/21xx (and all H8S FLASH devices) are single rail FLASH programming devices. This means that a 5V devices operates at 5V and requires 5V to program the FLASH. Even though a 3V devices may operate at 5V, it still has to be programmed at 3V.

  3. Advantages changing an H8/3437, H8/3337 & H8/3297 designs to H8S/21xx

"The H8S/21xx series is based around a high performance CPU.  It is the same CPU found in the H8S/22xx & H8S/23xx 16 bit microcontrollers. This means that the general registers are increased from 16 bits to 32 bits. The program counter is increasedfrom ...
