HS41xx - Is a buffer OpAmp mandatory for the HS41xx?
It is not mandatory. The buffer acts as an impedance converter and decoupler. The high output impedance of the sensor could lead to signal degradation when connected to subsequent circuitry. A buffer OPAmp has a very low ouptut impedance and a high input impedance. This results in "isolation" of the ...

HSxxxx - Sensor accuracy problems after assembly
Some assembly processes like SMD reflow soldering can influence the humidity sensing polymer, which results in a temporary measurement offset. To speed up the recovery process, try to recondition the sensor using the recondition routine explained in the datasheet. This will ensure the humidity sensing module to be properly hydrated.
