Overview

Description

The FS2012 is a high performance and fully calibrated mass flow rate module for non-corrosive gas or liquid flow. It features an accuracy error down to 2% of reading (typical).

The FS2012  comprises a MEMS flow sensor mounted on a circuit board with a flow housing and sensor signal conditioning components. It features a 6-pin standard header for both a fully calibrated analog and digital output (I2C).

The low power, high accuracy, and robustness make the FS2012 an excellent fit for applications such as process controls and monitoring, HVAC, air control systems, respiratory devices and liquid dispensing systems.

Features

  • Fully-calibrated output
  • Measures gas or liquid mediums

  1. Is it possible to change FS2012 flow sensor flow rate 0.015 to 0.001 and how?

The FS2012 flow sensor can measure flowrates from 0.015. But I want it to scale from 0.001. For that I have to put an amplifier at the output of the sensor and how much gain should be? I am working on this sensor for the first time, if ...

  2. FS2012 Flow sensor "NRND". Any replacement?

Hi, one of our new devices is designed with the FS2012 flow sensor, and now that we are moving it to production we find it is "Not recommended for new designs" Thats very very unfortunate, our products usually have a "sales lifetime" of 10 years, and we support them much ...

  3. FS2012-1100-NG Arduino Code

Hello, I'm trying to run the FS2012-1100-NG on my Arduino UNO. Is there code for the FS2012-1100 like there is for the FS1012-1100? Is it the same exact code? Thanks, hope to find out soon.

FAQs

  1. FS2012 - Calibration procedure for non nitrogen gases

In production we use NIST traceable reference controllers which are calibrated with nitrogen. For other gases a correction factor must be used. For example, if we want CO2, the reference controller still uses nitrogen, but has a correction factor for CO2.

  2. FS2012 - Using -NG version for liquids

The FS2012-NG version internally is different from the -LQ (liquid version). It cannot be used for liquid application.

  3. FSxxxx - List of liquids and gases to use with flow sensor

We don’t have an approved list, but in general we recommend non-aggressive chemicals and liquids within the pH level 4 to 8, with the parylene coated modules. Most coolants are fine as long as the system they used in does not form coagulants (water impurities, salt, etc).
