Overview
SuperH high-end microcontrollers and microprocessors are well trusted and have a proven track record and have been used by many customers since its introduction in 1992.
The extensive product lineup has helped reduce the size of and improve the performance of many applications.
Our product lines include a series with the SH-2 as the CPU core and on-chip large-capacity flash memory and peripheral functions such as timer, serial I/O, and AD converter, and a series with the SH-4 as the CPU core, which achieves high-speed data processing and is equipped with cache and MMU.

SH7040 SeriesThis is the first SH Microcontroller with an SH-2 core and single power supply programmable 256 KB flash memory on-chip.

SH7047 SeriesThe SH7047 Series incorporates peripherals suitable for inverter control such as an A/D converter and two sets of motor management timers, and CAN (Controller Area Network) interface. Operation on a single 5V power supply is possible due to the on-chip regulator.

SH7050 SeriesEquipped with single power supply maximum 1.5 MB large capacity flash memory. With many channel timers and A/D as peripheral functions on-chip, this series is very suitable for car engine control.

SH7080 SeriesThe SH7080 Series feature SH-2 core microcontrollers with on-chip high performance flash memory. The on-chip flash memory allows for high speed operation known as single cycle access at 80 MHz. There are packages of 100 pins, 112 pins, 144 pins, and 176 pins in the lineup.

SH7137 SeriesThe SH7137 Series incorporates a 32-bit RISC SH-2 core. The SH7137 Series operates at a maximum frequency of 80 MHz, representing a 1.6-fold improvement in performance over the 50 MHz of Renesas Electronics's current SH7047 Series. The SH7137 Series includes on-chip peripheral functions such as a powerful 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, a high-precision 12-bit A/D converter, CAN (Controller Area Network) compatible interface.

SH7144 SeriesThese microcontrollers have an SH-2 Core with 256 KB flash on-chip. High-speed access of 1 cycle at 50 MHz to the on-chip ROM is possible. Equipped with many peripheral functions such as timers and serial communication. Also, if upgrading from the SH7040 is important. this is easily possible.

SH7146 SeriesThe SH7146 Series incorporates an SH-2 32-bit CPU core, and offers a maximum operating frequency of 80 MHz, representing a 1.6-fold improvement in performance over the 50 MHz the SH7046 Series. Featuring an on-chip power supply step-down circuit, these microcontrollers are designed to achieve lower current dissipation by suppressing the increase in current dissipation associated with higher speed, and attain 5 V single-power-supply operation while at a high 80 MHz operating frequency.

SH7231 SeriesThe SH7231 Series incorporates an SH2A-FPU, which consists of an SH-2A core that includes an FPU (Floating-Point Unit). The SH-2A core is upward-compatible with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH7231 Series incorporates max. 1 MB flash memory and large-capacity RAM. SH7231 Series also incorporates peripheral functions such as a powerful 16-bit timer (MTU2/MTU2S) suitable for inverter control, a 10-bit A/D converter, CAN (Controller Area Network) and key scan controller. The SH7231 supports deep software standby mode as power management control.

SH7280 SeriesThe SH7280 Series incorporates an SH-2A CPU core which is upward-compatible with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH-2A CPU core employs a superscalar architecture enabling simultaneous execution of two instructions, a significant increase in performance compared with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH7280 Series also incorporates 768 KB of large-capacity flash memory, 1-channel USB 2.0 Full-Speed, a 5-channel serial interface, a powerful 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, and a 12-bit A/D converter.

SH72Ax SeriesThe SH72Ax Series single-chip microcontrollers and microprocessors incorporate built-in functions suitable for motor control such as a 12-bit A/D converter, an R/D converter, and a three-phase PWM output timer; communication functions such as CAN, LIN, and other serial interfaces with chip select/buffer; and a 32-bit RISC SH2A-FPU core.

SH7700 SeriesThe SH7700 Series has an SH-3 or SH3-DSP CPU core, which have an instruction set that are upward-compatible with SH-1 and SH-2. The on-chip memory management unit (MMU) supports operating systems such as Windows® CE and Linux. There are also products with built-in A/D converter, D/A converter, USB, and LCD controller, and they can be used for a variety of applications. |

SH7750 SeriesThe SuperH Family is a range of 32-bit microcomputers suitable for built-in hardware, realizing faster processing speed and reduced power consumption, with RISC system instructions. The SH7750 Series (SH-4) uses Harvard architecture, has a 2-way superscalar system, and can execute two instructions in parallel. The integer performance is 430 MIPS (Dhrystone@240 MHz). Also, a high-speed FPU is on-chip, and FPU performance of 1.7 GFLOPS is realized with single-precision matrix operation. Additionally, the on-chip MMU (Memory Management Unit) supports all standard operating systems, including Windows® CE and Linux. |

SH7780 SeriesThe SH7780 Series is the high-end SuperH processor and uses the SH-4A CPU core. The SH-4A instruction set is upward-compatible with the SH-4. THe SH-4A is faster than the SH-4. The SH-4A includes an FPU that supports both single-precision and double-precision arithmetic operations like the SH-4, but is faster than the SH-4 in particular for double-precision operations.
