Smart Analog Easy Starter is a GUI evaluation tool for designing the analog front-end circuit of Smart Analog devices and editing analog circuit data while observing the waveforms on a computer screen. Circuit design can be performed easily by operating a mouse on a computer screen using a Smart Analog evaluation board manufactured by Tessera Technology.

Process Flow
  1. Write hex file for running Smart Analog Easy Starter (using Renesas Flash Programmer)*4
  2. Connect computer and board*5
  3. Start Smart Analog Easy Starter
    Run Start.exe
  4. Select register (default) and target board*6
    Select target board and main screen opens
  5. Design analog circuit
    Set analog circuits
  6. Observe waveforms and check A/D conversion values
    A/D conversion settings and results
  7. Check register setting values and output C source code
    Display register settings and output C source code
  8. Save analog circuit design information and read
    Save analog circuit design information
  9. Embed C source code to user program and debug

*Notes:

4. TSA-IC300/TSA-IC301, TSA-IC500, and RL78/G1E-STICK ship with hex file pre-programmed, so this process is unnecessary if you have not overwritten the program after purchasing.

5. Please install a USB driver when you connect a Smart Analog evaluation board to your computer for the first time.

6. If connecting a Smart Analog evaluation board, go to File and uncheck GUI Trial Mode.
