A temperature controller is a device with temperature measurement and temperature control functions. The sensor signal from the thermocouple and the temperature measuring resistor (RTD) is processed by the microcontroller, and temperature control is performed by external equipment. And, the measured data can be sent to the devices above such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) via the communication function. Some are also equipped with a small display to display the measurement results.
Renesas offers a wide range of products, from microcontrollers with built-in analog front-ends required for temperature measurement, general-purpose microcontrollers for main control with communication and display functions, to drivers for communication with high-end equipment and peripheral parts.
The RX23E-A microcontroller has a built-in high-precision 24-bit ⊿ΣA/D with low noise, low offset drift and low gain drift characteristics for thermocouple and temperature measuring resistor measurement and contributes to high accuracy and miniaturization of equipment through a combination of digital functions such as DSP/FPU and the temperature measuring unit in a one-chip solution.
|Analog Front-End MCU||RX23E-A||With a low-noise, low-drift analog front-end that can measure within 0.1% accuracy without calibration, this is ideal for sensor equipment, control equipment, and test/measurement equipment that requires sensing of minute analog signals such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, weight, and distortion. The CPU is equipped with an RXv2 core with excellent DSP/FPU operation, which enables high-precision measurement, control and communication on a single chip.|
