IAR Embedded Workbench®, the world’s most widely used embedded development environment, is fully integrated with the Synergy™ Platform.
IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas Synergy offers tools for efficient code development, including a highly optimizing C/C++ compiler and linker, and C-STAT® Static Analysis and C-RUN® Runtime Analysis tools that allow developers to find potential code issues early in the development process. The Power Debugging tool helps developers understand how code changes affect power consumption.
IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas Synergy interfaces with the Synergy Standalone Configurator (SSC), a standalone tool created by Renesas. The SSC includes a project editor with configurators such as the Clock Configurator, Pin Configurator, RTOS Configurator, and Synergy Software Package (SSP) Module Configurator. IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas Synergy also allows visibility into protected SSP code, helping developers understand the inner workings of the SSP while debugging.

Licenses for EWSYN are issued by IAR, users can find additional information on licensing Embedded Workbench for Synergy and request a new or updated license key from IAR from the IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas Synergy webpage.
