Overview
Description
Infrared (IR) contactless thermometers are essential for medical applications to monitor body temperature before individuals enter public places. Depending on the target market and application, the required thermal range and accuracy may vary significantly. This is particularly true when comparing thermometers designed for medical environments versus those intended for industrial use. This design considers the thermometer's range of operation, accuracy, power efficiency, and display options.
System Benefits:
- RL78/I1D MCU features enhanced analog functions, including operational amplifiers, a 12-bit A/D converter, and window comparators, and supports ultra-low power operation (124µA at 1MHz ) and a high-speed 4µs wake-up.
- RL78/I1B MCU can be used as an alternative option, ideal for applications requiring advanced analog functions such as a 24-bit delta-sigma (ΔΣ) A/D converter.
- Battery charger operates as a pulse charger, where the charge current is determined by the current limit of the AC adapter during the constant current phase. It operates in a linear mode during the constant voltage phase in both adapter cases.
