Overview

Even though the RL78/G1M microcontroller has a small pin-count 20-pin package, it is an 8-bit general-purpose microcontroller equipped with real-time output terminals for motor drive. It has 120-degree energization control and can drive a BLDC motor. It is suitable for motor control for small home appliances, toys, office automation (OA) equipment, etc.

  • On-chip Oscillator Freq. (MHz): 1.25MHz-20MHz (VDD=2.7V-5.5V), 1.25MHz-5MHz (VDD=2.0V *Note)-5.5V)
    *Note: Use with a voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V because it includes detection voltage (VSPOR) for the selectable power-on-reset (SPOR) circuit.
  • Others: Clock/buzzer output, On-chip debugger interface

  2. Program executes with debugging in e2 studio but not when power stand alone

    ... simply reset board or reconnect usb - nothing happens. I have tried Renesas Flash Programmer V3.08 to flash. Watchdog is disabled by option_bytes in linker settings. External power was also tested, no positive result. What can be a reason for this? Same situation with another board RL78/G1M.
