Overview
Description
JNE’s Network Interface Card (NIC) module is a ready-to-use solution for smart metering using the onboard RA2E1 Arm® MCU. The NIC is an extended communication card for smart meters. It can easily integrate with electricity meters (1-Phase and 3-Phase) and leverages any available network to form a highly resilient network for the utility. It supports two-way wireless (GPRS, NB-IoT, etc.) functionality, remote data acquisition, meter program management, and sending real-time alerts for meter tampering and outages to utility companies. A two-way communication network gives utilities greater efficiency, more reliable data delivery, improved customer satisfaction, and a scalable platform to support advanced smart grid and smart city applications.
