Analog Power Modules
Renesas' family of analog power modules offers users a fully integrated DC/DC switching buck converter in one package. These modules combine the controller, power FETs, output inductor, and compensation circuitry in a single package minimizing both the external component count and complexity of converter design.
What are Analog Power Modules
Analog power modules combine controllers, power FETs, output inductors and compensation circuitry in a single package to minimize both the external component count and complexity of converter design.
To meet the challenge of designing the power sub-system for infrastructure systems, many designers are considering using power modules instead of traditional discrete POL designs, with time to market, size constraints, reliability and design capabilities being motivating factors.
Renesas offers a comprehensive portfolio of digital and analog point-of-load power modules to address the needs of infrastructure systems. Renesas power modules are complete DC/DC power sub-systems. With industry-leading power technology, these modules reduce design time, lower cost and save board space. Renesas’ optimized thermal packaging technology provides excellent thermal performance, providing high current operation and high power density without the need for an external heat sink or fan, reducing system cost.
