Tetsuya Tsurumaru

Mr. Tsurumaru serves as the Representative Director and Chairman of Renesas Electronics Corporation.

He began his career at Hitachi and served key posts such as General Manager of Naka Manufacturing Division.

After the joint venture of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric was established he served the posts of General Manager of Strategic Production Planning Div. and Managing Officer and Executive General Manager of Production and Technology Unit for Renesas Technology.

Since the merger of NEC Electronics and Renesas Technology, he has served posts including Senior Vice President and Vice President of Production and Technology Unit and Representative Director, President & CEO. He has been part of the Member of the Board since June 2012 and holds his current post of Chairman since June 2016.

Hidetoshi Shibata
Representative Director, President and CEO

Mr. Shibata became Representative Director, President and CEO of Renesas in July 2019. He joined Renesas in November 2013, as Executive Vice President, and CFO. He served on the company’s Board of Directors from November 2013 to May 2016 and was re-appointed to the Board from March 2018 to the present. In these roles, Mr. Shibata is credited with having helped to define and execute the restructuring of Renesas’ businesses and successfully leading the acquisitions of two U.S. based semiconductor companies, Intersil and Integrated Device Technology.

Before joining Renesas, he was Executive Managing Director of Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (“INCJ”) a Japanese sovereign investment fund and he sat on the boards of the six companies in which he led investment up until 2013.

Prior to his career at INCJ, he was Managing Director, Global Private Equity, at Merrill Lynch. At the age of 35, he was the youngest Managing Director in their global team. Before Merrill Lynch he worked as Partner at MKS Partners, a private equity firm based in Japan, where he was responsible for various transactions.

Mr. Shibata started his career at Central Japan Railway and played key roles in a large-scale re-engineering project. He also obtained a license to drive Shinkansen bullet trains. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BE from the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Nozaki serves as the Executive Vice President of Renesas Electronics.

He began his career at Mitsubishi Electric and after the joint venture of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric he served the post of President of Renesas Semiconductor Europe.

After returning to Japan he served as the General Manager of Naka Factory 1 and Deputy General Manager of System Solution Business Unit 2 of Renesas Technology Corp.

Since the merger of NEC Electronics and Renesas Technology, he has served posts including General Manager of 2nd SoC Production Management Division and General Manager of Strategic Production Planning Division of Renesas Electronics.

He has served as the Executive Vice President of Renesas Electronics Corporation since April 2015.

He has a Master of Electronic Science and Engineering from Kyoto University.

Mr. Yamamoto serves as Executive Vice President of Renesas Electronics since March 2018.

Prior to his career at Renesas, he was the Representative Director of Nissan Korea. He also held the post of Regional Senior Vice President at Nissan Motor Co.

He started his career at Crown Leasing Corporation. Later he served as the Corporate Officer and Quality Leader at GE Fleet Services Corporation and GE Capital Japan Integration Leader GE International Inc.

He also served as the CIO and EVP of Calsonic Kansei Corporation and Chairman & CEO of Calsonic Kansei Americas.

Sailesh Chittipeddi
Executive Vice President, General Manager of IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit

Dr. Sailesh Chittipeddi became Executive Vice President and General Manager of IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit of Renesas in July 2019. He joined Renesas in March 2019.

Before joining Renesas, he served IDT’s Executive Vice President of Global Operations and CTO, with an additional focus on corporate growth and differentiation. In this role he is responsible for the company’s operations, procurement, quality, supply chain, foundry engineering, assembly engineering, product & test engineering, facilities, Design Automation, and Information Technology groups. From a product line perspective, he has responsibility for the IoT Systems Group, RapidWave Interconnect Systems, PCIe and Standard Products Group. Additionally, Dr. Chittipeddi helps IDT leverage its existing strengths to increase corporate value while driving the rapid delivery of new products.

Prior to joining IDT, Dr. Chittipeddi was President and CEO of Conexant Systems and served on its Board of Directors. He led the company in its transition from a public company to private ownership and through its debt restructuring efforts. Before that, he held several executive roles at Conexant Systems, including COO, co-President, EVP for Operations and Chief Technical Officer, with responsibility for global engineering, product development, operations, quality, facilities, IT and associated infrastructure support. Dr. Chittipeddi started his career in technology with AT&T Bell Labs and progressively managed larger engineering and operations groups with AT&T Microelectronics/Lucent and Agere Systems. Dr. Chittipeddi serves on the Board of Directors for Avalanche Technology (USA) and Tessolve (Division of Hero Electronix, India). He also serves as a Board Observer in Blu Wireless Technology (Bristol, UK), Peraso Technologies (Canada) and Anagog (Israel).

Dr. Chittipeddi holds five degrees, including an M.B.A from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in physics from The Ohio State University. Dr. Chittipeddi has earned 64 U.S. patents related to semiconductor process, package and design, and has had nearly 40 technical articles published.

Mr. Maoka serves as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Automotive Solution Business Unit at Renesas Electronics Corporation. He is also the Chairman of Renesas Electronics China.

He began his career at Renesas in December 2013 as the General Manager of the Corporate Planning Division. His prior post was the Deputy General Manager of the Production and Technology Unit and held other roles such as Vice President of the Corporate Planning Division and Chairman of Renesas Semiconductor Design Beijing.

Prior to his career at Renesas he served as the Strategy Director and later Commercial Operations Director of Lenovo Ltd. In Japan.

He started his career at A.T. Kearney and later served as the Senior Manager of Japan Regional Strategy and Head of Industrial and Multi Market Regional Center at Infineon Technologies Japan.

Mr. Nitta serves as the Senior Vice President of Renesas Electronics Corporation. He has held his current role since April 2017.

He began his career at Mitsubishi Electric and served key posts such as Manager of Worldwide Automotive Accounts, Overseas Marketing of the Semiconductor Group. He also served as the Vice President of the Semiconductor Division of Mitsubishi Electric Europe.

After the joint venture of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric was established he served the posts of Executive Vice President of Renesas Technology Europe, Senior Manager and Vice President of the Marketing & Production Planning Division, MCU Business Group of Renesas Technology Corporation.

Since the merger of NEC Electronics and Renesas Technology, he has served posts including Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Sales Management Unit and Global Sales Unit of Renesas Electronics. Prior to his current role he served as the Deputy President of Renesas Electronics America Inc.

He earned his Bachelors Degree in Economics from Kyoto University.

Shinichi Yoshioka
Senior Vice President and CTO

Mr. Yoshioka serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Renesas. He was appointed this role in August 2019, from his experience and technological expertise of the products and the market following the years he has dedicated towards Renesas.

He began his career in Hitachi, Ltd in 1986. After the joint venture of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric was established, he served different posts at Renesas Technology Corporation, later becoming Vice President and Head of System Solution Business Unit 2, followed by Vice President and Head of Mobile Multimedia SoC Business Division.

In 2010, he served as the Senior Executive Vice President and COO of the Renesas Mobile Corporation. Following the absorption type merger into Renesas Electronics Corporation, he has held many key roles such as Vice President and Head of Automotive Control and Analog & Power Systems Business Division in 2013, Vice President and Deputy General Manager of 1st Solution Business Unit and Head of Automotive Control and Analog & Power Systems Business Division in 2014, and Vice President and Deputy General Manager of 1st Solution Business Unit and Head of Safety Solution Business Division in 2016, and Senior Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Automotive Solutions Business Unit in 2017.

Prior to his appointment as the CTO, Mr. Yoshioka was also the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Automotive Solution Business Unit in 2018, contributing to the growth of the Automotive Business for Renesas Electronics.

Mr. Yoshioka has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Applied Physics from the University of Tokyo and graduated from Stanford University with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Chris Allexandre
Senior Vice President, Head of Sales and Corporate Digital Marketing, IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit

Mr. Allexandre serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Corporate Digital Marketing at Renesas Electronics Corporation. He was appointed this role in July 2019. Previously, he held the post of Senior Vice President and Head of sales in the Broad-based Solution Business Unit at Renesas, appointed in April 2019.

Prior to joining Renesas, he was IDT’s Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing in February 2017. A sales veteran with more than 20 years in the semiconductor industry, Mr. Allexandre’s experience covers analog mixed-signal products in the mobile, industrial, telecom, cloud, consumer and automotive markets. He has led sales organizations in the United States, France, Germany and China.

Prior to joining IDT, Mr. Allexandre worked for NXP as Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales for Mass Market and Global Distribution. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain at Fairchild Semiconductors. Prior to Fairchild, he held various positions at Texas Instruments, up to Vice President of EMEA Regional Sales & Applications and Distribution.

Mr. Allexandre holds an MSc. in electrical engineering from the Institut Supérieur de l’Électronique et du Numérique (ISEN).

Roger Wendelken
Senior Vice President, Head of MCU Business, IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit

Mr. Wendelken serves as Renesas’ Senior Vice President and Head of MCU Business in the IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit and the Chairman for Renesas Semiconductor Design Beijing. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Global Sales Division in the Broad-based Solution Business Unit at Renesas Electronics. Prior to joining Renesas, he served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Intersil Corporation since October 14, 2013.

Prior to joining Intersil, he was the Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales for Volex Corporation from January 2013 to October 2013. Prior to this, Mr. Wendelken served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales for Standard Microsystems Corporation, or SMSC, from June 2009 to August 2012, where he led the global sales organization building a presence in a variety of competitive consumer, industrial, and automotive markets for SMSC before it was acquired by Microchip in August 2012. Mr. Wendelken also served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Applied Micro Circuits Corporation from May 2006 to May 2009 and Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Marvell Semiconductor from September 2003 to March 2006. Prior to this, Mr. Wendelken held sales management roles at various technology companies from June 1994 to March 2000.

Mr. Wendelken holds a BSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Senior Vice President and CFO

Mr. Shinkai is the Senior Vice President and CFO at Renesas Electronics Corporation.

Prior to this role, he served as the Vice President of the Corporate Strategy & Finance Division of the Corporate Planning Unit. Throughout his career at Renesas, which began in November 2013, he has held a number of corporate planning leadership roles at Renesas Electronics, mainly in the Legal Division as the Vice President and General Counsel. He has also served as the Executive Manager of the Legal & Compliance Division and the Corporate Planning Division.

Mr. Shinkai started his career at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in 2007. He has also worked in the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan from 2009, as an Associate and also the Vice President in their Investment Business Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Tokyo.

Jason Hall
Senior Vice President and CLO

Jason Hall serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Renesas, and is responsible for the company’s legal, intellectual property, IT and procurement organizations. Jason joined Renesas as corporate counsel for the Americas, and through a series of promotions, became general counsel for the worldwide organization in 2017.

Prior to joining Renesas, Jason was an intellectual property associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP in their San Francisco office. Based in Silicon Valley, he represented large technology companies across a variety of legal matters, including representation of two clients in federal trials where the amount in dispute exceeded $1B in each case. As a registered patent attorney in the US, he also participated in the firm’s pro bono prosecution program.

Jason obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, Political Science, and Public Administration from Augustana College.
