Note that we have discontinued the further revisions of the Renesas Flash Programmer with V.2.05.03, concerning the additions of new functions and MCUs support. However, our technical support for the commercial edition of the Renesas Flash Programmer is continued.
Commercial Edition and Free-of-Charge Edition
The product version of Renesas Flash Programmer was released from V2.00.00. We have two editions of this product. The commercial edition includes technical support and the free-of-charge edition does not. If you are going to be using the programmer for writing to the flash memory of a finished product, we recommend that you purchase the commercial edition.

Customers can select between two types of programming windows according to their development environment.
Perform flash programming with simplified operations. Once the settings have been made, simply click the start button to begin programming. This mode is very useful for mass production.
This mode makes it possible to manage multiple projects within a single workspace. You can confirm the project settings in the main window and make changes as needed. This mode is useful for managing multiple programs or parameters during development.
The system configuration in programming with Renesas Flash Programmer V2 is as follows:
- When using with the E1 or E20 emulator, conversion adapter is required depending on the number of pins on target board.

As for those samples when using with the E1 or E20 emulator, see user's manuals for the individual products. For examples of circuits for programming with use of the USB, refer to the hardware manual for the MCU you are using.
- We completed the addition of support for MCUs of the RH850, RX, and RL78 families by V2 of the Renesas Flash Programmer in March, 2016.
