RZ/A2M MPUs with DRP

It’s easy to get up and running with the RZ/A2M MPU with DRP.


Step 1: Get a Kit

Get an RZ/A2M Evaluation Board Kit. It is an evaluation board for developing and evaluating applications such as camera input, LCD display, and DRP operation with the RZ/A2M MPU. The kit includes the CPU board, sub board, display output board, a MIPI camera module, Segger J-Link Lite, USB cables, and a quick start guide.

Step 2: Download Software

Download a software package for the RZ/A2M MPU with DRP. We recommend that new users interested in doing a quick evaluation use the FreeRTOS based RZ/A2M FreeRTOS Software Development Kit.

The RZ/A2M FreeRTOS Software Development Kit contains the RZ/A2M Software Package, e2studio development environment, GUI Development tool from TES Giuliani, and the QE for Display and QE for Camera development support tools.

Step 3: Develop

Load an evaluation demo design from one of the available sample designs. Each design has an release note and source code associated with it. They are available from the Sample Code tab on the RZ/A2M product page.

Linux Option

As an option, you can elect to evaluate the RZ/A2M device using the Execute In Place (XIP) Linux platform supplied by Renesas.

RZ/A1 MPUs

It’s easy to get up and running with the RZ/A1LU MPU.


Step 1: Get a Kit

Get a STREAM-IT! RZ development board. It is an evaluation board for developing and evaluating applications such as camera input, LCD display, and Ethernet connection with RZ/A1LU.

Step 2: Download Software

Download a software package for the RZ/A1LU MPU. We recommend that new users interested in doing a quick evaluation use the FreeRTOS based RZ/A1LU FreeRTOS Software Development Kit.

The RZ/A1LU FreeRTOS Software Development Kit contains the RZ/A1LU Software Package, e2studio development environment, GUI Development tool from TES Giuliani, and the QE for Display and QE for Camera development support tools.

Step 3: Develop
