The SH7263 is a high-performance microcontroller, incorporating an SH2A-FPU core. This LSI operates at a maximum operating frequency of 200MHz and incorporates single-precision and double-precision calculation-supporting FPU, which enables high-speed calculations, meeting the demands of industrial equipment and other applications. With an on-chip CD-ROM decoder and sampling rate converter, the SH7263 is ideal for use in digital audio systems such as car audio and home audio.
This LSI incorporates a USB standard v2.0 High Speed (480 Mbps) specification Host and Function interface, and a display controller supporting liquid crystal panels up to WVGA size (800x480pixels). These features provide display system capability and enable low-cost configuration of a digital audio player that performs high-speed data transfer via connection of USB flash memory or a portable audio or similar USB device.
In addition, this LSI includes peripheral functions such as a CAN controller, an IEBus™ controller, a serial sound interface (SSI) for digital audio data input/output, a serial communication interface with a 16-stage FIFO, an I2C bus interface.
The SH7263 has IEBus and SD host interface (SDHI) as optional function.
