The H8/36049 Group was developed as a version of the existing H8/3687 Group, but with enhanced peripheral functions and I/O, and is suitable for use in household appliances with advanced functions, including indoor units of air conditioners needing motor control.
The device integrates a powerful three 16-bit timers for motor control, which makes it easy to control DC brush-less motors as well as for simultaneous control of plural DC motors.
It also has three serial communication interface channels and a single I2 C bus interface, simplifying communication with external devices or other peripheral LSIs.
Since one of SCI channels has a noise canceller, it is possible to prevent communication operations from crashing due to noise which may occur on the interface with an external system. These features help reduce the cost of system development.
The 80-pin package with 0.65 mm pitch is easy to mount on-board.
Furthermore, the super low cost emulator, E8a, supports on-chip debugging and anon-chip programming environment.
