Description

The PTX105R is a highly optimized NFC controller designed for compact IoT applications. It features superior sensitivity, precise digital sine wave shaping, and a reduced bill of materials compared to traditional square-wave NFC controllers. These advantages enable enhanced interoperability, streamlined FCC certification, and faster NFC Forum compliance.

The PTX105R also supports full end-to-end IoT go-to-market (GTM) integration through its compatibility with the RA microcontroller ecosystem. It is available via hardware modules on the QuickConnect platform and is also supported through the Arduino shield platform, enabling faster prototyping and deployment.

This technology makes it easier to achieve interoperability across a broader range of increasingly demanding NFC device form factors, while ensuring reliable NFC coupling even in challenging operating environments or when using small form factor antennas. It supports operation through an antenna typically four to five times smaller than those required by conventional NFC readers, reducing design constraints. Fewer external components help lower bill‑of‑materials (BOM) costs and save board space, while comprehensive IoT go‑to‑market support accelerates prototyping and deployment.
