Overview

Description

This design demonstrates a complete high-power synchronous/BLDC motor control system. It can support up to 10.5kW of power sourced from 3-phase Y-connected power mains. The unit consists of a high-performance Arm® core microcontroller that handles motor control and power supply PFC regulation. These operations occur within an isolated environment and are controlled by optocoupled IGBT drivers for a set of high-voltage IGBT half bridges. The MCU device is controlled via an isolated RS-485 connection to an external control unit, with the option to use a CAN interface.
