6-Phase, 30A Single Output and Dual 15A/Optional 30A Cascadable Power Module Evaluation Boards

Description

The ISL8225MEVAL2Z is a three module six channel multiphased 90A output demo. This board highlights the simplicity implementing both the multiphasing and current sharing of parallel modules. This solution requires minimal circuitry and layout complexity but provides the phase shifting and accurate current balancing between the modules.

The ISL8225MEVAL3Z evaluation board enables a single output by paralleling two phases to deliver 30A continuous load current. The ISL8225M supports input voltage from 4.5V to 20V and the output voltage ranges from 0.6V to 7.5V. With the single resistor modification, the output voltage can be easily adjusted to different voltages.

The ISL8225MEVAL4Z designed to be a standard evaluation board such that it provides BNC, jumper and probe connections to make a more thorough evaluation of the power module. The ISL8225M is a true two channel voltage regulator such that it has independent input supplies. This board allows such connection by separating the input connections. The outputs are also independent and the evalboard is preset with 1.5V output on channel 1 and 1.2V output on channel two, each channel capable of 15A output current.
