The HIP2100 is a high frequency, 100V half bridge N-channel power MOSFET driver IC. The HIP2100 general-purpose design tool is a very simple evaluation board that can help the user rapidly construct an isolated DC/DC converter in numerous configurations. The board consists of the Renesas HIP2100 half bridge driver IC, two Renesas IRFR120 MOSFETs, a bootstrap capacitor, and two input voltage decoupling capacitors. The HIP2100 can operate at frequencies exceeding 1MHz and has propagation delay times in the 20ns range. It has 2A drive capability which allows it to drive an IRFR120 load with switching times of less than 10ns.
