DevCon Extension: Applying the GUIX User Interface Development Tool

In this demo hosted by Express Logic you will learn: ways to create an attractive and functional graphical user interface, how the GUI interacts with an embedded system's application, methods for simplifying and speeding the design of custom GUIs.

This session spotlights a powerful, easy-to-use tool for developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for LCD-equipped embedded systems that employ Renesas' RZ processors. We will present, in a step-by-step fashion, two methods to create and optimize attractive and functional GUIs. One approach uses Express Logic's GUIX™ small-footprint, low-overhead runtime engine and development tool and is implemented via simple C-callable services. The other approach applies the capabilities of the GUIX Studio, a PC-based WYSIWYG companion tool for GUI creation. Both methods allow programmers and nonprogrammers alike to produce outstanding GUIs.
