Overview

Thermal printers are gaining popularity due to advantages such as low cost, printing speed, graphic capabilities, print quality and mobility.

Renesas has developed the serial thermal printer mini interface module to provide a high-quality, cost-effective and space-saving thermal printing solution. The module is developed with the RX111 32-bit high-performance, ultra low power consumption microcontrollers. The device integrate a USB 2.0 Host/Function controller, OTG communication peripheral, BC 1.2 Battery Charging and AoA support. The RX111 series is available in a wide range of on chip memory sizes that make them ideal for thermal printer solutions.
