The integrated development environment "IAR Embedded Workbench for RL78", as a micro-processor for low end use, is a tool that can fully demonstrate the capabilities of the RL78 Family with its processing power and low power consumption.

The loT Evaluation Kit is made up of the BLE wireless communication module, sensor, node, and device. This kit can be developed with the IAR Embedded Workbench for RL78. The kit also acts as a turn-key solution for the loT application development that makes use of RL78 micro-processor characteristics. Also, since the original Renesas in-house produced E1 emulator can be used in the debugging environment as is, additional costs can be reduced to a minimum while increasing the system's performance and efficiency.

The universal specification allows for switching the wireless communication BLE and Sub-GHz (920MHz), and the data that has been sensed can also be sent to and displayed on a tablet terminal. The sensor, node, and device included in the kit has a built-in speed sensor, temperature sensor and microphone. By using the sample code to immediately start it up, development time is shortened.
