The R7F0C806/807/808/809 microcontrollers employ the RL78 core which realizes high processing performance while delivering the lowest power consumption in their class, and it has a low-pin count lineup of microcontrollers suitable for use in consumer products.

High Accuracy ± 2% on-chip oscillator (TA = 0 ~ + 40 ℃) allows the CPU to run up to 20 MHz, while the optional power-on reset and watchdog timer along with other functions, helps to achieve a more compact system size and low power consumption, lowering the cost to build the entire system.
In addition, the R7F0C806 / 807 has built-in real-time output control circuit that can achieve 8-channel output via the timer PWM output. This allows customers to develop brushless DC motor control and stepper motor control (at the same time controlling two) applications.

While the R7F0C808 / 809's built-in high-current drive ports can directly drive six-digit LED characters (up to 48 LED), making it suitable for any level of LED display and touch button control LED display applications.

The R7F0C806/807/808/809 series comes in a 20-pin SOP or SSOP package, and it has 4 KB to 8 KB of on-chip flash memory. It is suitable for small household appliances and general consumer products and other applications.

  2. The number of outputs varies, depending on the setting of channels in use and the number of the master (see 6.9.4 Operation as multiple PWM output function).
