Overview

Description

Traditional radar systems use a rotating dome to allow a 360° surround view. With the Renesas beamforming systems, 90° can be achieved from a static plane by adjusting the beam amplitude and phase, thus manipulating the overall beam direction.

System Benefits​:

  • The Ku-band (~14GHz) allows small object detection with sufficient detail in the nearby area (<5km).
  • Using 4 planes allows for a 360° surround view from a mechanically static point.
