GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN ― In a ceremony held both virtually and in-person, Reality AI was recognized with the 2020 Future Mobility Award in the “AI for Safety” category. The Future Mobility Awards recognizes startups and scale-ups judged to be bringing the best new innovations to the industry. The award was sponsored by mobilityXlab, Volvo, Veoneer, Ericsson, CEVT, and Mathworks, who also judged the awards.

Reality AI won with their solution allowing vehicles to “See Around Corners with Sound”.

“Blind intersections and obstructed views are a real problem for collision avoidance systems based on cameras, LiDAR and radar,” said Stuart Feffer, CEO of Reality AI. “These line-of-sight sensors just can’t see what they can’t see. By letting cars hear as well as see, we can pick up on context — emergency vehicles, oncoming traffic — that would not otherwise be visible.”

Reality AI will offer the first public demonstration of this technology October 12-16, 2020 at the Annual Autotech Council event, and at Edge Computing World.
